1. Payment Responsibility

International orders may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the destination country. These charges are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Marika Vera has no control over these charges and cannot predict their specific amount.

2. Legal Regulations and Compliance

In accordance with the regulations of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) under Title 19 of the Code of Federal Regulations (19 CFR), imported goods are subject to inspection and assessment.

  • De Minimis Threshold: Under Section 321 of the Tariff Act of 1930, most importations with a fair retail value of up to $800 USD may enter the country free of duties and taxes.

  • Exceptions: If your order exceeds this value, or if CBP determines the goods require formal entry or special assessment, you will be required to pay the corresponding duties before or at the time of delivery.

3. Delivery and Brokerage

The shipping carrier (FedEx, UPS, DHL, or USPS) may act as your customs broker to clear the package. Please note that carriers may charge additional administrative or brokerage fees for this service in addition to government-mandated taxes.
