Create a paradise
-Tell us a bit about you, where are you from? Where have you lived and where do you live now? What about your career and job?
I'm born in Finland, raised in Germany and have lived in San Francisco and now in NY where I work as a Fashion Stylist.
-About these pictures, what was the inspiration behind the art direction of the shoot? (make up, hair, look and feel)
For these images I wanted to portray a woman who is strong, empowered masculine/feminine whomever she wants to be! A woman who doesn't care about the confinements of society. This woman is rebellious. This woman is sexually free. She knows her worth, she dresses for herself and she is fiercely liberated.
-Why did you use Marika as part of the session and why did you decide to portray her in such a way?
Marika represents all those characteristics for me. I love how Sex Positive her brand is and how she constantly searches for ways to give women a safe place to feel good about their sexuality. I love that she wears all her designs herself and looks fantastic in them. It was so effortless and fun for me to Art Direct and style her for this shoot. We always have so much fun being creative together!
Life becomes better when you free yourself from social norms and live a life true to yourself. Celebrate your originality. Create a paradise wherever you go. Find a purpose in life you feel so passionate and proud of that it never feels like you're working. And don't underestimate financial freedom, it changes all your decisions and possibilities. You can say "yes" or "no" , you can stay or you can go... financial stability is freedom!

-Cuéntanos un poco sobre ti, ¿De dónde eres? ¿En qué lugares has vivido? ¿Qué hay de tu carrera y tu trabajo?
Nací en Finlandia, crecí en Alemania y viví en San Francisco. Actualmente vivo en Nueva York y soy estilista de moda.
-Sobre estas imágenes: ¿Cuál fue la inspiración detrás de tu dirección de arte para esta sesión? (Maquillaje, peinado, estilismo, estética)
Para estas imágenes quería retratar a una mujer fuerte, empoderada, masculina, femenina, quien sea que ella desee ser. Una mujer a la que no le importan las normas sociales. Esta mujer es rebelde. Es sexualmente libre. Ella sabe su valor, se viste para sí misma y se siente ferozmente liberada.
-¿Por qué decidiste usar a Marika y sus prendas para esta sesión? ¿Por qué decidiste retratarla de esa forma?
Marika para mí representa todo lo anterior. Me gusta lo sexualmente positiva que es su marca, y su constante búsqueda por ofrecer a las mujeres un espacio seguro para sentirse bien acerca de su sexualidad. Me encanta que ella luzca sus diseños y se vea fantástica, dirigir y coordinar esta sesión fue tan sencillo y divertido. Siempre la pasamos bien, explorando nuestra creatividad juntas.
La vida mejora cuando te liberas de las normas de la sociedad y vives tu verdad. Celebra tu originalidad. Crea un paraíso donde quiera que vayas. Encuentra un propósito por el que te sientas apasionada y te haga sentir orgullosa, para que nunca se sienta como un trabajo. Y no subestimes tu libertad financiera, eso cambia completamente tus decisiones y posibilidades. Puedes decir sí o no, puedes quedarte o puedes irte. ¡La estabilidad económica te da libertad!
